Farmers will be apprised in detail about the negative impact of environment pollution and use of pesticides. Information on zero budget farming will be provided during the different sessions of the training programme.
The concept of zero budget farming is based on cow. Natural farming can be done in 30 acres of land with one vedic cow (desi cow). Cost of the main crop can be obtained from the sale of auxiliary crops and the main crop can be taken as bonus. Moreover, farmers don’t have to purchase seeds, fertlisers and pesticides which will keep the market cost zero and they have to produce these items at home or at the farm itself .
If farmers adopt this
technique, they don’t have to obatin loan. The concept of zero budget farming is based on vedic cow, earthworms, bijamrit, jivamrit and ghanjivamrit (bacteria based dry
fertilizer) etc. Subhash Palekar is working continuously on this.
As many as 50 lakh farmers have adopted zero budget farming in the country. Moreover, farmers of other countries have also adopted this technique in the agriculture. Furthermore, loss to the crops can be controlled through this.
