When there was fun filled with various competitions, the students of Oriental College of Technology enhanced their cultural as well as technical skills.
A three-day extravagant techno-cultural fest ‘Technical Fizz 2017’ began at Oriental College of Technology here from Tuesday. Interestingly, the students showcased impressive participation in the fiesta to brush up their co-curricular skills. The three-day event will be continued till Thursday at the college premises.
The students enjoyed a blend of technical events such as robotics, software contest and cultural competitions like singing, dancing, face painting and more. The sports events also happened during the fest. Notably, the programme is divided into various sections that include Technical Fest, Cultural Events, Art Villa, Tech 4 Fun and even the Sports making Technical Fizz 2017 is a complete package of entertainment, learning and sportsmanship.
On the opening day of the fest as many as 48 events happened at the college premises. The events included dance competition, singing competition, rangoli making, movie making in which the students participated with full enthusiasm. The centre of attraction of the opening ceremony was the flash mob by students. It was so much loved by the audience that flash mob was performed twice.
Under robotics, the students beautifully presented their tech-savvy skill before the audience. There were land based and water based robotics that took away the hearts of the audience watching.
Notably, this tech fest aim towards new innovations in the field of science in order to boost up the technical knowledge and to discover new talents in the field of culture as well.
To make the event even more interesting, the rock band performances will be held on Wednesday. As many as three musical bands will be performing on stage for the youngsters making them tap their feet along with the music.
