A 29-year-old man died after hitting by a speeding vehicle late night at VIP road under Koh-e-Fiza police station area on Friday. Police said that an injured man was rushed to Hamidia around 1 am and died during treatment on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Shashank Shrivastava of Jehangirabad. In the initial investigation police found that deceased was talking over phone and failed to spot the speeding vehicle. Deceased sustained severe injuries in his head which proved fatal for him.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started searching the accused driver. The CCTV footages would be searched to establish the identity of the driver.
Meanwhile a 55-year-old man committed suicide by hanging self at his shop at Aara Machine road under Bairagarh police station area on Friday. According to police, the deceased identified as Ramswaroop Naagar was found hanging in his shop and rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
In the initial investigation no suicide note has been found by the police that could help in the revealing the reason of suicide. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
