Frustrated over atrocities by husband a 29-year-old woman jumped from third floor of her apartment at Shabri Nagar under Kamla Nagar police station area on Sunday.
An injured woman was rushed to a nearby hospital by locals after they spotted the woman. The woman was identified as Ranu a resident of Shabri Nagar.
After the incident the injured woman went unconscious due to which the police were not able to record her statements which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide attempt.
The injured woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was later referred to Sharda hospital.
In the initial investigation the police have found that the woman was harassed by her husband and she had a fight with her husband and later jumped from the fourth floor of the building.
The husband of the injured woman Rajesh would be questioned in the further investigation, said police.
The injured woman is reportedly critical and is undergoing treatment at Sharda hospital.
Meanwhile an 18-year-old girl, who jumped into Upper lake for committing suicide on Sunday was rescued by divers at Upper lake, girl was upset over her financial problems, said Talaiya police.
According to the police at around 2 pm a girl jumped into Upper lake and was rescued by the divers. The girl was identified as Varsha Khateek of Atal Ayub Nagar.
The police have not registered any case and have released the girl after warning.
Police said that the girl’s financial condition was not good as her father was unemployed and was not willing to work and earn.
