Crime branch police nabbed a 28-year-old absconding accused from Pansheel Nagar on the charge of his involvement in planning a murder of a Goa-based businessman. The three accused were nabbed earlier and six guns and 26 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
Acting on a tip off regarding an absconding accused, Vipin Singh who was absconding in a case of planning of murder of his partner and Goa based businessman Gajendra is in the city and based on the information a team was rushed to Pansheel Nagar and nabbed the accused.
After the crime branch received information Goa police was contacted and details of the crime by Vipin was revealed regarding the crime.
The nabbed accused was quizzed by crime branch and he confessed that he had gone to Goa for business and started Chawla Chicken restaurant with Ravikant and Gajendra. later Vipin and Ravikant developed difference with Gajendra over some issue and two decided to kill Gajendra. The two were planning murder with the killers and provided stay at Amigo hotel for the killers. Police raided the hotel and nabbed three persons and recovered six guns and 26 live cartridges after which Vipin went absconding and was nabbed on Tuesday.
Goa police registered a case under section 120 B of the IPC and sections 25 and 27 Arms Act against five accused.
The main accused and mastermind of the crime Vipin is business graduate and was partner in Chawla Chicken in Goa. Crime branch has informed Goa police for further investigation.
