28-year-old married woman commits suicide at Ayodhya Nagar

A 28-year-old woman in Ayodhya Nagar committed suicide following domestic disputes with her husband. Kriti Singh was found hanging at her home on June 12 and died during treatment in the early hours of June 15.

Police said she used her scarf to hang herself while her husband Deepak Singh was present in the house. He immediately brought her down and rushed her to the hospital, but she could not be saved.

Kriti's family has accused her husband of harassment, claiming he had a violent temper and frequently abused her. Her brother Rakesh Singh stated that Kriti had called him before taking her own life, expressing distress over a marital dispute. "She was alone here and fed up with her husband's torture," Rakesh said. However, Deepak offered a different version, saying his wife had a short temper and often punished their five-year-old son harshly. He claimed the suicide occurred after he scolded her for making their child stand in the scorching sun as punishment. The Ayodhya Nagar police have registered a case and are investigating both claims.
