A 28-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling at his Paras Nagar residence under Gandhi Nagar police station area on Monday.
Abdul Wahid, the deceased was found hanging at his residence on Monday evening and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Police were informed and after the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post-mortem.
During the investigation, police found that the deceased was not mentally fit and had earlier attempted to commit suicide. The findings would be investigated. Wahid used to help his father in farms and on Monday committed suicide.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of CrPC and started further investigation. The statements of the family members are yet to be recorded claimed the police.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Om Nagar under Kolar police station area on Monday.
According to the police, Rekha Bhavaskar was found hanging and was rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
The deceased got married last year but the relation between her and her husband were not good enough and after the marriage, her husband started to harass her and frustrated over the atrocities of her husband, she took extreme step on Monday.
During the investigation, police have not found any suicide note but it was found that her husband used to harass her demanding dowry. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
