Attempting to catch an errant truck driver by climbing on to his truck, a 27-year-old youth died as he fell from the height. The victim’s car was hit by the truck in New Market area on Wednesday night and the victim, Dinesh Parashar, climbed on to the truck and tried to catch hold of the driver.
In a bid to flee from the scene of accident, the driver sped off the truck and in the process; Parashar fell down on the road and died. later, the druck driver fled the scene and the TT Nagar police have registered a case under section 304 (A) of the IPC. The truck driver is still at large.
According to the police, the deceased Dinesh Parashar died after he fell from truck. After the accident deceased was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The truck bearing registration number MP04-HE-1632 hit the deceased’s car bearing registration number MP19-CA-4859 and when the deceased chased and stopped the truck he got engaged in a fight with the truck driver and to evade the fight and escape the spot errant driver started to move with the deceased at the door of the truck and later he fell from the truck.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased had a fight with the errant truck driver who hit the car which was the reason behind the fight.
The deceased was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment. He used to work as DJ operator and his father is posted with lokayukta.
The truck driver escaped the spot and later abandoned the truck and escaped. The truck was later seized by the police.
The deceased was killed in an accident or he was killed by the truck driver would be investigated.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
