Jehangirabad police have nabbed a 27-year-old man who strangulated his 25-year-old wife to death at Berkhedi on Wednesday. The accused husband used to harass the deceased for money.
The accused Imran Khan was arrested by Jehangirabad police after it was revealed that he strangulated his wife Amreen to death. After it was found in the post mortem that the deceased was strangulated to death and thus her husband was nabbed.
The couple got married three months ago and around a month ago she started to live with the deceased at her house where he used to have frequent fights.
In the night on Tuesday family members and relatives of accused came to meet and after having dinner they left. In the morning on Wednesday Imran came shouting from his room that something has happened to Amreen and later she was found dead.
During the investigation police sent the body for the post mortem and in the post mortem report it was found that she was strangulated to death. In the initial investigation police found injury marks over her neck.
The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
The family members have bought a scooter and had given him Rs 25000 in the month of June. The deceased married in the month of March and the accused used to work at a hotel. The parents and family member of the deceased have alleged that the deceased was harassed demanding Rs 5 lakh.
