A 27-year-old man was found murdered at Chhah Garha locality under Nishatpura police station area on Thursday.

According to police sources, panic prevailed in the locality after a body was found there at around 10 am. On the receipt of the information, a police team was rushed to the spot and after preliminary investigation, sent the body for the post-mortem.

The victim was identified as Vijay Khadse of Prem Nagar Nariyalkheda. An injury mark was visible in the upper body part of the victim. The circumstantial evidence suggest that the victim was stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon which caused the death of the victim, told the police.

All the belongings of the victim were intact and were recovered from the spot which rules out the possibility of murder of the victim for the valuables.

Motorbike owned by the victim, two mobile phones, two gold finger rings and a gold chain were recovered from the spot. However the gold chain was found broken, which suggests that the victim struggled before he was killed and offered resistance to the miscreants.

The victim got married on May 30. He used to work at a gas pipe agency in Nishatpura and owned a mobile phone and repair shop in the area.

The police have registered a case under  Section 302 of the IPC and have started further  investigation.

Neighboring shopkeepers where the victim had a mobile phone shop and employees at the gas  pipe agency would be questioned. Police are awaiting the post-mortem report  that could help in the  investigation.
