Nishatpura police have booked a 27-year-old male for attacking a woman with acid at Vishwakarma Nagar on August; victim lodged complaint on Wednesday.
Police said that the accused Varun alias Balram Dhakad was acquainted with the victim as the two used to work as nurse with Max hospital.
In her complaint victim stated that she was sexually assaulted by the accused and few months ago his marriage got fixed.
The girl who was scheduled to marry find a video of accused with the victim and when she asked regarding the video victim revealed the truth that accused had sexually assaulted her and exploited her after which the girl stopped communication.
Infuriated with the revelations made by the victim Varun went to her house and after having fight attacked her with acid.
The victim was taken to hospital where she was discharged after treatment and later she reported the incident.
Based on the investigation the police have registered a case under section 376(2) (N), 329, 294 and 506 of the IPC and started search for the accused.
Meanwhile TT Nagar police have booked a miscreant for making indecent photographs of 26-year-old girl after she broke relationship with her; a case was registered on Wednesday.
The accused Ankit Tiwari made victim’s photos and videos viral who used to work in the same company.
Victim in her complaint stated that around one and a half year ago frustrated over making of video and taking photographs in compromising position she broke the relationship.
The police have registered case against the accused and started search for the accused who escaped the city few months ago.
