The police headquarters on Tuesday organised a public hearing related to crimes and other criminal activities. Altogether 777 complaints were heard during the hearing and 27 cases were resolved on the spot. The hearing also organised at zone level.
Official sources said during the hearing 27 complaints were resolved on the spot and instructions were being issued to concerned officials for the remaining cases to resolve the cases as soon as possible.
Additional Director General of Police UK lal was present during the public hearing at the Police Training and Research Institute. The concerned police stations and officers were contacted and instructions for providing resolution were conveyed.
The maximum number of cases was of fraud and property disputes. Few of the complainants have visited earlier but still no action was taken which forced them to complaint again for speedy justice and fair treatment of their case.
During the hearing it was confirmed that case related to crimes against women have increased, kidnapping and extortion cases have also been reported in large number.
Jabalpur Zone received 102 complaints in the public hearing, Bhopal Zone received 70 complaints, Indore Zone-48, Balaghat Zone-4, Chambal Zone-67, Gwalior Zone-203, Hoshangabad Zone-13, Shahdol Zone-16, Sagar Zone-46, Rewa Zone-92 and Ujjain received 89 complaints.
