Taking lessons from the Khandwa jail break incident, the Bhopal Central Jail administration has decided that the dreaded prisoners that are being shifted here on Madhya Pradesh High Court (MPHC) order would not be kept in proximity.
Notably, the MPHC in its order said that 26 terrorists having affiliation with banned Student Islamic Movement if India (SIMI) lodged in various jails of the State should be kept in Central Jail of Bhopal. The MPHC order came on the petition filed by the Special Task Force (STF) that sought directives from the court to keep all the dreaded terrorists in Bhopal Central Jail.
Following the MPHC order the process of shifting of the SIMI terrorists in Central Jail of Bhopal has been started. Though there is a separate cell in the jail for keeping dreaded criminals but taking lessons from the Khandwa jail break incident by some of the banned organisations terrorists lodged in that jail the Bhopal Central Jail officials are adopting additional measures and have decided not to keep these dreaded prisoners together and instead they are placing them in separate cells so that they do not get chance of meeting with each other.
The decision came after a meeting of the jail officials in this regard was held on Tuesday afternoon. Now as per the new system the dreaded prisoners would not be kept together in same barrack besides the SIMI activists undergoing punishment in simple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) would also be kept is such barrack that is far from the dreaded terrorists barracks.
The work of serving food to the dreaded terrorists would also be done by jail staff so that they could not move around in the jail and meet other prisoners in the cover of
getting food.
