A 25-year-old medical student died after his bike met accident near Bhanpur Bridge under Chola Mandir police station in the wee hours on Wednesday.
An injured youth was rushed to nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Arjun Singh who was a medical student of Peoples Medical College.
The deceased used to live at college hostel and was returning after attending some event. The deceased sustained multiple injuries. The deceased was profusely bleeding due to injury and he died of excessive bleeding told the doctors.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. Police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started to search for the accused driver.
The deceased was pursuing medical studies. He was found in an injured and no one spotted vehicle hitting the bike of deceased. Police suspects that the deceased was hit by a speeding vehicle which escaped the spot.
Meanwhile, a 54-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his house in BDA Colony under Awadhpuri police station area late in the night on Tuesday.
Police said that the deceased Deepak Mandal committed suicide at his house. The deceased used to work as carpenter. In the initial investigation the family members told police that deceased used to remain depressed.
On Tuesday, the deceased was found hanging with the ceiling. Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
