A 25-year old married woman who sustained serious burn injuries while cooking a week ago died at Hamidia Hospital here on Sunday.
The victim, identified as Kalpana Raikwar, had sustained burn injuries while cooking at her residence at Futa Makbara under Hanumanganj police station area on September 25.
She had been admitted at Hamidia hospital since then. However she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday. The police registered case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, panic prevailed in Bawadia Kalan area after a man in the age group of 55 years was found dead near railway tracks in Bawadia Kalan under Misrod police station area on Monday.
At around 12.30 pm a body was spotted by the locals and police were informed regarding the body. On the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Police have not found any document or information which could help in establishing the identity of the deceased. Circumstantial evidence suggested the deceased might have committed suicide.
