A 25-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her residence at Railway Colony under Baghsewania police station area on Sunday.
According to the police the victim Ankita Sharma was found hanging at her residence on Sunday evening and was rushed to a nearby hospital and was rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead.
Police were informed and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
Victim’s younger brother Yash Sharma spotted the victim. He informed victim’s mother Santosh Sharma and later the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
The police have recovered a suicide note from the spot and in which the victim has mentioned that she was suffering from depression for long and is not able to bear suffering any more but the reason of her depression was not mentioned in the suicide note.
After preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the victim used to work as assistant professor with RGPV. It is possible that the victim might be facing issues in her professional life.
Police said that the statements of the family members and colleagues would be recorded in the further
investigation. The reason of the depression would be investigated.
Victim’s mother Santosh Sharma works with the Railways and is posted at the DRM Bhopal. At the time of the incident she was asleep in her room.
