A private bus conductor has been booked for molesting and manhandling a 25-year old woman on Friday night.
According to the Jahangirabad police, the victim boarded the Bhopal-bound bus at Sagar with her baby girl and during the journey the bus conductor Ranjeet lodhi started misbehaving with the victim.
It is alleged that he approached her inappropriately and held her hand even as other passengers took objection.
The passengers forced the bus driver to stop the bus and informed the Jahangirabad police. The incident took place at around 10 pm.
On receipt of the information, a police team was rushed to the spot and the accused was detained. The bus is owned by OM Sai Travel Transport Services.
The police have registered a case under section 354 of the IPC. The accused was produced in the court and was sent to police custody. Police were not able to confirm whether the accused was drunk.
