MP Nagar police arrested a 25-year-old man and recovered stolen clothes worth Rs 35,000 from his possession. The clothes were stolen from a garment store at DB Mall on Sunday.
Earlier on the same day, the owner of the garment store, Manyawar, Sumeet Agrawal, had lodged a complaint with the MP Nagar police regarding stealing of clothes from his shop. Police said the victim in his complaint stated that the miscreant stole shirts, pants and jackets worth Rs 35000 from the shop which was captured in the CCTV camera installed inside the store and based on the footage the miscreant was nabbed by the police. The nabbed miscreant was identified as Rajesh Sharma of Anand Nagar.
Police registered a case under Section 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The miscreant used to change the clothes in the trial room and would leave the store with new clothes which was captured in the camera installed and based on the footage the miscreant was nabbed by employees of the store and was handed over to MP Nagar police on Sunday.
