A 25-year old youth reportedly committed suicide at Esteem Towers at Indrapuri under Piplani police station area on Friday. According to police, the victim, Basant Shrivastava was found hanging at his residence. The body was found when one of the victim’s friends came to meet him. After getting no response, when he peeped inside, the victim was found hanging. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Soon, the police was informed regarding the suicide and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post-mortem examination . The victim hailed from Sagar and used to live with his brother Surendra Shrivastava who was at work when the incident took place. The victim was working as a security guard with a private company. No suicide note has been recovered from the deceased. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained. The victim’s brother has claimed that he was unaware of any problem that the victim was facing. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
