Khajuri police have nabbed a 25-year-old man for sexually assaulting his sister-in-law at Fanda village under Khajuri police station on Saturday.
According to police, the accused, identified as Rajkumar Ahirwar, sexually assaulted his younger brother’s wife and escaped the spot.
Police said that the victim got married around two months ago. The victim and her husband used to live with the accused and his family but they were not aware of the evil of the accused who was waiting for the chance to commit crime. Victim’s husband works at a hotel while the accused work as labour at farms.
On Saturday after victim’s husband, accused and his wife left the house for work but in the afternoon the accused returned and asked for some water and tea and while the victim was busy in preparing tea the accused locked the door and sexually assaulted her. During the heinous act, wife of the accused reached home and when she spotted the accused he escaped the spot.
After the incident when the victim’s husband reached the house victim reported the incident and later the couple approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 (2)(f) of the IPC.
During the investigation accused was nabbed by the police. The crime record of the accused would be searched and it would be investigated that the accused in involved in other crimes also and is a habitual criminal. The victim who is 19-year-old and hails from Vidisha.
