A 25-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her residence at Model Ground under Shahjehanabad police station area on Sunday.
According to the police the deceased Saltanat Khan was found hanging at her house around 2 in the night and was later declared dead where rushed to a nearby hospital.
The parents of deceased have raised allegations that Zeeshan used to harass their daughter physically and mentally demanding money.
The body was sent for the post mortem and police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
The couple got married in the year 2011 and has two children from their marriage.
Police said that the reason behind suicide would be investigated as no suicide note or any other evidence of suicide has been found in the initial investigation.
Meanwhile depressed over being unemployed a 25-year-old youth died on Sunday who committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at B-sector Ayodhya Nagar under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Saturday.
According to the police the deceased Naman Sharma consumed poisonous substance and was rushed to Hope hospital where he died during treatment on Sunday.
In the initial investigation police have found no reason behind the suicide. Family members have told the police that the deceased used to remain depressed over being unemployed.
Police said no suicide note has been recovered and the possible reason behind the suicide is deceased’s unemployment but it could not be ascertained and reason would be investigated.
