The MP Nagar police have booked a miscreant who sexually assulted a 24-year-old girl and duped her to the tune of Rs 50000; accused trapped accused over matrimonial site.
The accused befriended the engineer at the matrimonial site by luring her of two flats in Delhi.
Victim was raped in Bhopal's MP Nagar Hotel KC Palace for two days and in the name of need, took Rs 50000 and later escaped with money. Now his mobile is found switched off.
After the victim complained with the police, it was found that he had even given her name and address in the hotel wrong.
According to MP Nagar Police, the victim does a private job. In March 2022, he found accused on the matrimonial site with who was account was named Sandeep Bhatt. Sandeep told that he has two flats in Delhi. A flat hotel is near the Taj. He wants to get married. She agreed to marry him after getting assured. Sandeep came to Bhopal on 23 March.
He took a room at KC Palace Hotel in MP Nagar Zone-2. The victim and accused had food and then Sandeep took her to his room. The victim alleged that Sandeep lured her. After she was rape, he said that he would marry her and they will shift to Delhi.
After staying at KC Hotel for two days, Sandeep left. After three days he came again to Bhopal and again kept him in the hotel till March 30 continued to sexually assault her.
The victim told the police that in the meantime Sandeep also took Rs 50000 as he needed money. He had said that instead of Rs 50000 he would return her one and a half lakh rupees, but now his phone is also getting switched off.
The role of Hotel KC Palace in this matter will also be probed.
Police have registered a case of rape and fraud agaisnt the accused whose actual identity is yet to be revealed.
