A 24-year-old bike-borne youth died after his bike was hit by a auto-rickshaw at Khajuri Khurd under Bilkharia police station area on Wednesday.
Police said that an injured youth was taken to hospital where he was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Sunny Sengar (24) of Chawani Pathar.
The accident took place in the afternoon when the deceased was on his way to work. The deceased used to work as driver. Police said that it was a head-on collision in which the deceased sustained severe head injuries.
The accused driver escaped the spot and search for the absconding accused has been started. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304-A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man died after he fell from a window while working at an under construction building at Khajuri Sadak on Wednesday; police have started investigated as the death is suspected to be suspicious.
Police have found injury marks in the chest which raises suspicion and reason behind the death would be investigated. The deceased identified as Mohan Malviya of Barela village Lalghati fell from a height of around 4 ft which makes the death suspicious. He was painting the building.
The body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered. The post mortem report is awaited which could help in revealing the reason behind the death.
