A 24-year-old married woman committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Ratan Coloiny under Nishatpura police station on Saturday night.
Police said the deceased, identified as Pramila Ahirwar, was found in an unconscious state. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead.
Pratila Ahirwar was married around two years ago. The reason behind the suicide remained unknown and would be investigated.
The body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
On the other hand, a 32-year-old man also committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at the Krishna Colony under Gautam Nagar police station area on Saturday.
Police said Arif Khan was found hanging by the family members and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
In the initial investigation, it was found that after the dinner, family members went to sleep and deceased’s four year old son was also sleeping in the same room and when he spotted the incident he started crying which alerted the family members and somehow managed to open the door locked from inside.
Body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The family members have a discussion in the night after which the deceased committed suicide. The deceased used to run a road side shop near his house. The reason of suicide would be investigated.
