Nishatpura police have booked a 24-year-old youth for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl at Janata Nagar on Saturday.
Police said that the accused Golu Yadav used to live at victim’s house as tenant and sexually assaulted her around a month ago.
The victim reported the incident to her parents who told her that they would ask the accused to vacate the house soon but on Saturday the accused started to fight with the victim’s father and her family after which the victim’s family lodged complaint with the Nishatpura police.
The accused hails from Berasia and used to work as labour and rented victim’s house. After the incident accused had gone to his village and returned few days ago and on Saturday he started to fight with the victim’s family.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The police have started search for the accused and have started to search for details of other crimes committed by the accused.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old girl was molested near Pragati Nagar under Ashoka Garden police station area on Saturday.
According to the police the victim was on her way to his grandmother’s house in Pragati Nagar when she was molested by Irfan.
The victim’s parents have gone to Begumganj at the time of the incident. A complaint was lodged with the Ashoka Garden police. The police have registered a case under section 534 and section 7 and 8 of the POCSO Act.
