A 23-year-old woman who attempted to commit suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Awadhpuri under Awadhpuri police station area on Monday, died on Tuesday. She died during treatment at a private hospital in the early morning hours on Tuesday.
According to the police, the deceased, Sarita Mittal, was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to a nearby hospital in the afternoon on Monday. Police have not found any suicide note. But, police have calimed that the deceased used to have fights with her family members. Body was sent for post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC.
The deceased got married few months ago and had issues with the family members.
Meanwhile, bike-borne miscreants who had robbed a 65-year-old woman of her gold chain worth Rs 45,000 at A -sector under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Monday are still at large while the victim was discharged after providing treatment.
