On the pretext of providing job I was brought here, confined and raped, said a 23-year-old woman, who was rescued from a building at MP Nagar on Sunday. The woman made shocking revelations after she was rescued from a building in MP Nagar Zone 1 on Sunday.
Two persons have been arrested by the Mahila police for allegedly assaulting the woman sexually. Notably, on Sunday, the victim caught attention of the locals while she was at the top of the building and was misunderstood by the gathered crowd of committing suicide.
Police were informed and a police team was rushed to the spot and she was rescued. After the woman was brought
down from the building, she made shocking revelations that she was not trying to commit suicide but was trying to escape from the accused who raped her.
The victim is a resident of Chhatarpur came to the city around a month ago in search of a job and was staying with her sister in Piplani area. During the job hunt she came into contact with Karan Patel. He promised and assured her that he could help her in finding a good job.
On Sunday, Patel arranged an interview of the victim with Deepak Sahu in MP Nagar Zone 1. Convinced by the assurance given by Patel, the victim went to give the interview in MP Nagar area where she was told by Patel that he would return after completing an important work.
While waiting for Patel, Sahu sexually assaulted her. The victim in a bid to escape, climbed to the parapet wall which attracted the attention of the commuters and locals and the police were informed which rescued the woman.
During the investigation, the woman told about the incident. A case against the two was registered at the woman
police station and the two were arrested later.
