In a tragic incident a 23-year-old girl fell while parasailing at the ongoing Bhoj Adventure Fest-2015 at Kaliasot Dam area on Sunday. Himani Bhatele fell from a height of around 25 ft during the parasailing when the vehicle pulling the sail stopped suddenly after which the victim grounded. She was rushed to Narmada hospital in a critical condition.
The victim sustained serious injuries in her back, knee and backbone but she remained conscious and responded well. Her condition is reportedly stable. Victim is pursuing her engineering and is a resident of Nehru Nagar. Family raised allegations of negligence in handling the activities conducted by the organizers which caused the accident and critically injuring the victim.
It is a matter of gross negligence and action should be taken against those responsible, said frustrated family members of the victim. The Bhoj Adventure Fest -2015 at Kaliasot Dam which was inaugurated on Friday by district collector Nishant Warwade witnessed accident on the third day of the inauguration. Till the filing of the report the condition of the victim was reportedly stable.
