A 23-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Professor Colony under Shymala Hills police station area late on Thursday night.
The deceased identified as Rahul Malviya used to work as domestic help with the Arif Mumtaz and used to live at servant quarter provided by him.
Police were informed by Arif after he spotted the deceased hanging at around 8.30 am. He told the police that the deceased used to work for him for the past 2-3 years and was a resident of Vidisha.
The reason behind the suicide remained unknown and would be investigated. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post-mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man died who was injured at a stone crusher in Khadampur under Gunga police station area on September 20; deceased was undergoing treatment at lBS hospital.
Police said that the deceased Shahzad Khan used to work as labor at stone crusher and was hit by a heavy stone when a truck was moving back. The deceased was rushed to a nearby hospital and later he was shifted to lBS hospital where he succumbed during treatment.
Body was sent for post mortem after the preliminary investigation.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Police said that case of death caused due to negligence would be registered if it was found in the further investigation.
