A 23-year old youth was attacked by four armed miscreants at Purani Basti of Bagh Muglia under Bagh Sewania police station area on Thursday.
According to the police, at around 6 pm the victim, Pradeep Singh Parmar, had a fight with the accused. The accused attacked him with iron rods and escaped.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in an unconscious state and was profusely bleeding but his condition is stable now, said the doctors treating him.
Police said that the attack was fuelled by an old land dispute.
Based on the complaint of the victim a case under section 307 of the IPC was registered against Ashok, Prem Narayan, lakhan and Gaurav by the police. The police have launched a hunt for the elusive offenders.
Police said that one of the accused, Gaurav, who sustained injuries, has also lodged a counter-complaint.
