A 22-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her house in Ashoka Garden area on Saturday; police have not found any reason behind the suicide and Ashoka Garden police have started investigation.
Police said that the deceased Payal Pathak was found hanging with the ceiling and was rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared dead. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC. Police have started further investigation.
During the investigation family members have expressed ignorance over the reason behind the suicide but apart from family members others have hinted that girl was acquainted with her friend who was spotted with her. The details would be investigated. Police have not found any suicide note which could help in the revealing the reason behind the suicide. The reason behind the suicide would be investigated.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old married woman died who committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Chola Mandir area on Saturday. The deceased identified as Radha Bai reported illness in the afternoon on Saturday and was rushed to Hamidia where she died during treatment, case registered.
