Kamla Nagar police have booked an 22-year-old youth for molesting a 14-year-old girl on Wednesday; accused used to molest the victim and fearing her threats she kept mum for long and on Tuesday she lodged a complaint with the police.
Police said that the accused, identified as Shyam used to molest the victim frequently whenever she would get out of the house. The victim lodged a complaint with the Kamla Nagar police against the accused who had molested her on Monday and when she opposed, he threatened her of life and escaped from the spot.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 506 and 354 of the IPC and section 11 and 12 of the POCSO Act and have started search for the accused who went absconding after the complaint was lodged.
During the investigation, police found that the accused is involved mischievous acts in the past and found involved in the assault and other minor offences. The family and friends of the accused would be questioned to find his whereabouts. Meanwhile, accused who dashed head of his 27-year-old sister-in- law after she opposed molestation by the accused at her house at Teelajamalpura on Monday remained absconding. According to Teelajamalpura police, the 27-year-old victim was alone when her brother-in-law Salman entered the house and molested her and when she opposed accused dashed her head into wall and escaped the spot.
