The State Government is trying its level best to improve the standard of education in Government schools but it seemed that teachers were not interested in co-operating the Government.  With the initiative of Indore Commissioner Sanjay Dube the project of attendance on smart phone and e attendance was started in Indore district. The citizens of Indore district and the parents of the students studying in the Government schools and the honest teachers appreciated this scheme very much as it will make the teacher compulsory to come to school every day as in the nagar Panchayats and village Panchayats area teachers don’t come to school every day and mark their present in the register in spite of their being absent. All the teachers in the school regularly remained absent from the school and they don’t complain about each other.
On the order of Indore Collector P Narhari under the supervision of Joint Director Education GS Bamania BRC Mhow block Sanjay Nelson made a sudden visit to various government schools in Mhow tehsil and found that 22 schools were completely closed and 113 teachers were absent. The schools closed and teachers absent were of the government schools of Yashwant Nagar, primary school Gokalyakund, government school Dharnaka in Mhowgaon Nagar Panchayat area, government school Badgonda, Samaria, Naharkhoda, Chakgular Choki, Pandu Pani, Kanaria, Barkheda, Kassikho, Kaparkheda, Sherkund, Urdu school. The highest number of teachers absent were in Dharnaka government school which is in Mhowgoan Nagar Panchayat area.
In Mhow tehsil most of the teachers with their political linkups are teaching in the schools which are 100 feet near to their house and these teachers reach late to the schools and they come back home in school interval every day and also leave school early. In case of any inspection they immediately reach to school and get their present registered. The locals of Mhow have demanded that government should make a compulsory rule that all the teachers should be posted in schools which are at least 3 kilometers far from their residence so they don’t come to home every day in intervals. In most of the cases the influential and politically link up teachers and those teachers who regularly give bribe to the higher officials are posted in those schools which are besides their houses.
