In yet another philanthropic initiative of SBI, 2100 members of its staff donated blood in MP and CG, the administrative area of its Bhopal Circle. KT Ajit, Chief General Manager of SBI’s Bhopal Circle inaugurated one such camp organised at its lHO at Bhopal. Speaking on the occasion Ajit expressed that ‘We owe a solemn duty to the needy members of society and the philanthropy is ingrained in Bank’s Corporate Philosophy. A campaign to donate organs was also initiated by obtaining undertaking from the donors. A pledge was also administered to staff members to reaffirm their commitment to the Bank.
Ajit also inaugurated a week long plantation campaign ‘Green Week’ by planting a sapling in Bank’s lHO premises at Bhopal. In this campaign Bank’s 1500 plus branches in MP & CG and its administrative offices will plant a large number of trees in their own premises or in schools, colleges, ITI’s, Panchayat Offices or in the available permissible open spaces where post plantation care can be taken. During the Green Week, 10,000 to 15,000 trees are proposed to be planted by SBI in Bhopal Circle.
later, in the evening an enchanting evening was arranged at SBI lHO, where ghazals were rendered by renowned artists. The programme was attended by a large number of staff and their family members. Pooja Thakur, DGM & CDO proposed a vote of thanks to all present in the cultural evening.
