A 21-year-old married woman committed suicide by self-immolating on Thursday ; woman was found in a charred state at her house at Bairagarh.
According to the police, the deceased Bhagwati Bai was found in a charred state by her father-in-law in the afternoon and was taken to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased sustained burn injuries after she self-immolated herself.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered. The reason of the suicide could not be ascertained and would be investigated.
During the investigation police found that the Bhagwati married two years ago to Vikram who works as labour and the couple a baby girl who used to remain ill since birth and was admitted for treatment few days ago still the reason which forced Bahgwati to take extreme step remained unclear. Police said that the deceased died to burn injuries and would be investigated that she sustained injuries or she was set ablaze in the further investigation. The statements of the family members are yet to be recorded which could help in the investigation.
From the spot oil cane was recovered which was used by the deceased to commit suicide. Other aspects of the death would be investigated.
The financial condition of the family was not good which was revealed by the family and girl of deceased used to remain ill.
