A 21-year-old youth died while pillion rider was injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding truck at Kalisot Dam under Chunbhatti police station area on Wednesday.
According to the police two youths were injured after a truck hit their motorbike in the afternoon and was rushed to a nearby hospital where one of the youths was declared dead while other escaped with minor injuries.
The deceased was identified as Suman Mandal while injured was identified as Vishal Kushwaha. The incident took place at around 2 pm on Wednesday when the two were on their way to bring ice for their resort Touchwood where they work.
Deceased in a bid to make way for other motorbike was hit by a speeding truck in which Vishal fell few meters away from the bike while the deceased was mowed down by the truck. The deceased hailed from West Bengal and used to work at Touchwood resort.
Meanwhile a 30-year-old man died who was injured after his motorbike was hit by a speeding loading auto rickshaw near Yash hospital under Bagh Sewania police station area on May 27; injured died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
The deceased Vishal Jathav was hit by a speeding loading auto rickshaw bearing registration number MP04-lC-8461 and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment late in the night on Tuesday.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
