Shahjehanabad police have booked a miscreant for sexually assaulting and physically assaulting a 29-year-old woman at Mother India Colony.
Police said that the victim was sexually assaulted on August 5 by the accused at victim’s house.
The victim in her complaint stated that when she opposed sexual assault she was beaten brutally by the accused and escaped the spot after the rape.
The victim and accused were acquainted and she had borrowed Rs 50,000 from the accused. The accused came in an inebriated state, assaulted her and raped her, said police.
Details of the accused are yet to be found as the accused went absconding after he came to know that the victim had reported the incident to the police. During the investigation police found that the two used to work at the same place and later they left the job.
The accused started to work as a sanitation worker with the BMC while the victim joined a private firm. The victim borrowed Rs 50000 from the accused which she was yet to repay.
The police have registered a case under section 376 and 323 of the IPC and started further investigation. The accused in yet to be arrested who went absconding after the victim lodged complaint with the police.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old married woman was molested by a miscreant at Kalla Shah Ka Ahata under Jehangirabad police station area late in the night on Monday.
The victim in her complaint stated that the accused identified as Faizan Jama entered her house and molested and abused her and escaped the spot. The police have registered a case under sections 452, 354, 294 and 506 of the IPC.
