I-Day celebrated at Directorate, Public Relations
Bhopal: Commissioner Public Relations Anupam Rajan hoisted the National Flag at the Directorate Public Relations on the occasion of 70th Independence Day on August 15 in presence of officers and employees. National song was recited after the flag hoisting. Sweets were also distributed among the children on the occasion.
Panchayat elections to held on Aug 22
Bhopal: Voting for three-tier Panchayat General and Bi-election will be done on August 22. Holiday has been declared by Indore labour Commissioner on August 22 for the factory workers of the concerned areas on account of voting. Directives have been issued to the factories working all the seven days in a week to give two hours relief to the workers for casting vote. Also instructions have been given to the shops and commercial establishments to provide two hours relief turn by turn to their employees to cast vote. It may be mentioned that the general election for 3 Sarpanchs and 52 Panchs and by-election for 1 Jila Panchayat Member, 15 Janpad Panchayat Members, 85 Sarpanchs and 6517 Panchs are being conducted in different districts of the state by the State Election Commission.
Min visits flood-affected Rewa
Bhopal: Minister for Industries Rajendra Shukl visited the flood affected areas of Rewa on Tuesday. It may be mentioned that Rewa is witnessing heavy rains since last two days which has created a situation of water logging at several places. Shukl inspected the relief efforts undertaken in the flood affected areas. He also visited the relief camps set up for the affected people. Shukl directed the officials to make arrangements to shift the affected people to the safe place, proper arrangement of food, water, electricity and security in the camps, besides clearance of water in the water logged areas.
