A 13-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her BDA colony residence under Koh-e-Fiza police station area on Wednesday.
According to the police the deceased Iram Khan was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The incident took place when the parents were asleep and when the victim’s mother woke up at around 4 am she went to bathroom but the bathroom was locked from inside, she knocked the door but failed to get response and later when the door was broken the deceased was found hanging in the bathroom. The deceased was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old married woman died during treatment who committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at her residence in Raj Harsh Colony under Kolar police station area on Wednesday.
The deceased Neeti Vishwakarma consumed celphos to commit suicide in the morning and was rushed to JK hospital where she died during treatment in the evening. In the initial investigation police found that the deceased tried to attempt but her condition further deteriorated during treatment and she died during treatment.
Police have not found any reason behind the suicide and have started investigation. Family members of the deceased and her in-laws would be questioned regarding the reason of the death of the deceased.
