A 49-year old woman was robbed of her gold chain worth `40,000 by two bike-borne miscreants at Kasturba Nagar under Govindpura police station area on Monday.
According to the police the victim Sandhya Yadav was attacked by two bike-borne miscreants near Chetak bidge during a morning walk and snatched her gold chain she was wearing. The two escaped the spot with the gold chain.
The victim lodged a complaint with the Govindpura police and in the complaint victim claimed that on Monday morning when she taking a walk in the morning at near Chetak Bridge two bike borne miscreants attacked her from behind and snatched the gold chain she was wearing in her neck.
Victim claimed that the gold chain was worth `40,000 and was not able to notice the details of the miscreants due to sudden attack by the miscreants. The victim raised alarm to alert the locals and commuters but before someone could understand and help the victim the bike borne miscreants managed to escape the spot.
Police suspects that the miscreants were aware of the routine of the victim and chose the area which has less traffic congestion in the morning.
The victim is a house wife while her husband is a government employee.The CCTV cameras installed in the area would be searched to check details of the bike-borne miscreants.
After the preliminary investigation a case under section 392 of the IPC was registered by the police.
