Pulse polio drive on Jan 18
Bhopal: Pulse polio dose will be administered to children upto 5 years of age in Madhya Pradesh in the first phase on January 18. In the second phase, polio dose will be administered on February 22. Under regular vaccination programme, left out children upto 5 years of age will be identified during door-to-door survey. Apart from administering dose on February 22, children’s total safety will be ensured. Principal Secretary Health Praveer Krishna sought information from officers about the campaign here today. A meeting of state level vaccination/pulse polio task force will be held here onJanuary 6. It will be chaired by Principal Secretary Health and will be attended by representatives of Women and Child Development, School Education, Public Relations and Panchayats departments, UNICEF, World Health Organisation, Rotary Club, Indian Medical Association and IAP.
Scindia reviews preparations for national games
Bhopal: Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia reviewed preparations for National Games to be held from January 31 to February 14, 2015 in Kerala at TT Nagar Stadium here today. She apprised herself about necessary information pertaining to training being imparted to players to participate in the games recognised for National Games, arrangements for national training camps etc.
Scindia talked directly with sports coaches and sought information about preparations for National Games. She said that all necessary arrangements should be made so that players of Madhya Pradesh win medals at National Games like last year. She sought information about journey of selected players, lodging and other arrangements. Scindia directed to ensure all arrangements for players, sports coaches and officials. Director Sports and Youth Welfare Upendra Jain apprised the Minister about preparations and coaching of players. Jain informed that athletics, equestrian, archery, judo (male), boxing, fencing, gymnastics, handball (men), wrestling, wushu and yachting (men) have been included in National Games. National training camps have been held at Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Bengaluru and Mumbai. Joint Director Sports Vinod Pradhan, players and coaches were present on the occasion.

Bhopal: Minister of State for General Administration, Civil Aviation and Narmada Valley Development lal Singh Arya released a calendar published by Madhya Pradesh Government Officers-Employees Welfare Society at Mantralaya here today. Association’s President Ramgopal Sen and other office-bearers were present on the occasion.
