The similarity is in the calendar as the calendar of 2014 would be repeat of the year 1947 calendar. Right from the first day of the year 2014 till its last date the dates and days would be the same like that of 1947 calendar.

The year 1947 is memorable and of proud year for every Indian. Every Indian knows, understands and considers it as most important year of country’s history. The first day of the year (January 1) was on Wednesday and the last day (December 31) would also be on Wednesday, the same sequence was witnessed in the year 1947.

The month of August in which the country got freedom would also have unique feature like in 1947 and that is that it would have five Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, that usually come four times in a month.

The year would also witness five Saturdays and Sundays each in the months of March and November like in the year 1947.
