The ‘Make in India’ drive launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would prove to be a milestone in the Indian economy, said BJP State organisational general secretary Arvind Menon here on Saturday.
Menon, in a statement, said that a survey report released by the World Bank under its ‘World Development Horizons’ says that due to strong industrial business by 2025 the clout of India in the world economy would be the brightest. “In response to the call of Union Minister Jitendar Singh overseas Indian talent are returning back to the country with foreign capital and technical know-how and are willing to associate with the national manufacturing industries,” Menon added.
Menon said, “Indians are known world-wide as the most outstanding talent.”
He said during past decade the manufacturing sector was breathing its last due to red-tapism, shortage of power and corrupt policies besides the negligence of administrative and Government machinery, which is why many foreign investors moved away from the country. Thus the credibility of India got blurred in the world economic rankings and the credentials of India fall down, he added.
He said due to these circumstances the production was affected badly and Chinese goods flooded in the Indian market.
The senior BJP leader also said Prime Minister Modi had decided to make manufacturing sector as the horse of Indian economy as his stress is on manufacturing every small and big thing in the country.
The biggest beneficiaries of this ‘Make in India’ drive would the youth of the country as over 45 per cent of this population are belonged to this category.
