Bhel Bhopal undergoes quality checks
Bhopal: In the current competitive environment, quality holds the key for survival & growth especially in Power and Industrial sector. To hold competitive edge, quality aspects were reviewed at BHEl Bhopal by K Purswani, General Manager (In-charge), Corporate quality along with DK Dikshit, General Manager (Quality) BHEl, Bhopal across different product groups. The quality aspects of Traction as well as Transformer products were reviewed in detail. At the same time Traction, Coil & Insulation shops were visited wherein quality aspects during manufacturing stage were discussed. K Purswani, in his address emphasized that root cause analysis should be logical and systematic using relevant analysis tools based on data. DK Dikshit, in his address emphasized that real improvements should be aimed and attempted for overall benefit of the organisation. AK Sarkar, Addl. General Manager (Corporate Quality) made a presentation on root cause analysis concept. Root cause analysis of an actual plane crash that took place on Heathrow airport was presented as an example. Improvement initiatives were discussed and plans were made for giving thrust on quality aspects.
