Bhopal: A booklet containing point-wise information about urban body and Panchayat elections will be published and provided to representatives of political parties and journalists. This was stated by State Election Commissioner R Parasuram at a meeting in the commission here on Wednesday. Parasuram said that a model polling booth will be set up on the commission’s premises containing all election-related documents and EVM. He said that apart from sending online information to districts, information should also be sought from them through e-mail. Parasuram directed for wide publicity of innovations being made by the commission in ensuing urban body and Panchayat elections. He said that funds should be made available as per demand to districts at the earliest. Commission’s Secretary GP Shrivastava and other officers were present at the meeting.
MDFP to be implemented in madhya pradesh
Bhopal: A Model Dairy Farming Project (MDFP) developed by NABARD will be implemented in Madhya Pradesh. It will be implemented in selected clusters through concerning dairy federations. The project was finalised after discussing the matter with all stakeholders at various meetings convened by Madhya Pradesh Institutional Finance Directorate. Banks, other financial institutions and insurance companies will cooperate in this. Under the project, the dairy federations will identify milk routes in the areas under their jurisdiction for constituting dairy cooperative societies. The federations will enroll beneficiary milk producers as members of dairy cooperative societies. The dairy federations will extend help to these members in obtaining milch cattle, milk collection, supply, transportation to chilling plants and marketing of milk and its products. They will also ensure payment against milk purchased from dairy cooperative societies and get it transferred directly to members’ bank accounts within time-limit. It has been decided that Joint Directors and Deputy Directors of Animal Husbandry Department will help provide veterinary services for milch animals. Banks will help in getting cattle insured and Animal Husbandry Department will make efforts that insurance amount against dead cattle is provided at the earliest. Banks will either insure milch cattle purchased by milk producers directly or through banks. All claims will be disposed of within 30 days after presentation of documents.
mega women’s marathon on july 26
Bhopal: A mega women’s marathon will be held on Kargil Victory Day at Jabalpur on July 26. Women from other districts will also participate in the event “Aao Qadam Milayen” for women’s empowerment. Winner will be awarded. The mega marathon will be 6.7 km long in 2 categories. Category A will comprise under-16 and Category B over-16 girls and women. In both categories, `10,000, `5,000 and `3,000 will be given as first, second and third prizes, respectively. Winner team will be given cup and certificate also. On the occasion, “Run Jabalpur Run” will also be held which will be participated by men and women of all age groups. Special prizes and certificates will be given to participants. The run will be of 2 km. Cash prizes will be given to oldest and youngest participants. Besides, cash prizes will also be given to disabled and blind participants as well as the one who will finish the run in minimum time. For making the event attractive and inspirational, a 2 km long banner will be made on which students, teachers and parents will give message of women’s empowerment through signatures, slogans and sketches.
