Inmate found dead inside Central jail
Indore: An inmate was found dead inside the Central Jail here, police said. Ashiq Ali died in the jail on Saturday. The cause of his death was yet to be ascertained and the body was sent for post-mortem.
Over 32 lakh looted from UCO bank
Sheopur: Some unidentified miscreants have looted Rs 32.64 lakh after breaking open the lock of UCO Bank in Dodar town, about 55 km from this district headquarters, police said. The theft came to light when the bank was opened yesterday morning. A gas cylinder and gas cutters were also found near the place of occurrence. The looters might have committed the crime on Friday night. Senior police officers rushed to the spot.
Woman's body found in nullah
Harda: The body of 40-year-old woman was found lying in a nullah near Sawalkheda village here, police said. Sushila was last seen in a field at Sawalkheda village on Friday. However, her body was found yesterday. Police suspected that she might have been murdered. The body was sent for autopsy.
Woman gang-raped inside vehicle
Satna: A 24-year-old woman was gangraped while she was returning from Maihar, police said. The victim boarded a small vehicle in Maihar but taking advantage of a desolate area, four people gangraped her inside the vehicle yesterday. A case was registered against Sunil, Vijay, lallu and another person in connection with the incident. The accused are absconding.
150 sacks of soyabean looted
Rajgarh: About 15 masked miscreants barged into a warehouse near a temple in Narsinghgarh Nagar on National Highway 12 and made the guard captive at gunpoint before looting about 150 sacks of soyabean worth about Rs five lakh, police said. The looters entered the warehouse last night and loaded the sack on a truck and fled. The villagers came to know about the incident, and they freed the guard and intimated the police.
Bus crushes woman to death
Guna: woman was crushed to death after she came under the wheels of a private bus in Raghogarh area today, police said. The deceased was identified as Sundar Sen (42). The bus driver fled after the accident and the bus was seized.

Satna: A Water Resources Department sub-engineer was assaulted on Saturday by a farmer incensed over delay in distribution of compensation for land acquisition in Tawa village, police said here on Sunday. Prafulla Kumar Sharma, associated with work on Bansagar's Kurwa Canal, was targeted by Surendra Shukla.
