Free treatment for gas affected patients
Bhopal: Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department has ensured free treatment of 3,587 gas-affected cancer patients in Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital, Bhopal. The department has paid about Rs 24 crore to the hospital for treatment of these patients.
R Krishnamurthy promoted to GM
Bhopal: R Krishnamurthy, General Manager (Finance), BHEl, Bhopal has been promoted to the post of General Manager (In-charge) and transferred to BHEl Corporate Office, New Delhi. On transfer, he will report to Director (Finance), BHEl. Krishnamurthy is well known for his excellent financial management and his role in management of finance at Bhopal Unit has been lauded by all. As Head of finance at Bhopal, he took many initiatives to streamline the finance services.
No differences, CM clarified
Bhopal: Amidst the news that there have been differences between Chief Minister Shivraj Singh and his Gujarat counterpart, Chouhan has clarified that there were no differences between him and Narendra Modi. Describing Modi as his elder brother and a respected leader, Chouhan told that there are no differences. On Wednesday, Chouhan was in Nagda town in Ujjain district as part of his 50-day Jan Ashirwad Yatra to garner support for BJP. Chouhan blamed the media for inventing stories suggesting that there was a rift between the two BJP CMs. Chouhan embarked on his 8,000km-long Yatra yesterday from the temple city of Ujjain. Madhya Pradesh is due for Assembly elections later this year and Chouhan is seeking a third consecutive term for BJP in the state. Although posters dotting the Yatra route bear pictures of all the top leaders of the party, BJP poll campaign chief Modi’s image was conspicuously missing from them, leading to speculation of a rift between the two leaders.
Governor extends greeting
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav has extended greetings and best wishes to President Pranab Mukherjee on completing one year in office on Wednesday. In the message sent to the President, Yadav wished him good health and long life and said the country keeps benefiting from his vast experience.
