A 20-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling near Shreeji hostel under MP Nagar police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police the victim Sheru was found that hanging in his room near Shreeji hostel was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The victim used to work at a tea stall near Shreeji hostel and used to live in a rented room near Shreeji hostel.
Police were informed and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Police said that the reason behind the suicide remains unclear and would be investigated.
Meanwhile a 35-year-old married woman committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in Sukhi Sewania area on Tuesday. According to the police Pritam Bai went unconscious at her house in Sukhi Sewania in the evening on Tuesday.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died during treatment late in the night.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
In the initial probe the family members have confirmed that the victim used to remain depressed but were not aware of the problem due to which she used to remain depress.
The police were not able to provide any reason behind the suicide as no suicide note was found and the family were not able to provide correct information regarding the suicide.
