A 20-year-old married woman committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at her Qazi Camp residence under Hanumanganj police station area on Sunday.
According to the police, the deceased Gudiya Bi was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died during treatment late in the night on Sunday.
Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation. In the initial investigation police have not found any reason behind the suicide family members are yet to be questioned which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
The victim married to Shahrukh last year but the relationship was not on good terms after the marriage. The reason could not be ascertained at the moment and would be investigated.
The family members of the deceased have claimed that deceased’s husband used to harass her over dowry and frustrated over the demand she committed suicide.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old youth died after he was hit by speeding vehicle in Nazeerbad area on Sunday.
The deceased identified as Kamal Singh alias Kanha was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was hit by a speeding vehicle.
After the preliminary investigation police sent the body for the post mortem and registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
