A 20-year-old youth was booked for sexually assaulting a 35-year-old woman at Shayam Nagar area under Habibganj police station area.
According to the police the accused Sagar Ahirwar was arrested for sexually assaulting her house owner when her husband was not present. The victim reported the incident to her husband and later a complaint was lodged with the police.
In her complaint the victim stated that she was alone on Wednesday after her husband went outside the town for some work and when the accused came to know about the victim been alone he reached her residence and sexually assaulted her and threatening her of life he sexually assaulted her for three days and when the victim’s husband returned she reported the incident to her husband and later they approached police and lodged a complaint regarding the sexual assault by the accused.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and the accused was arrested and later further investigations were started. The accused is a resident of Rajgarh and is pursuing engineering from Rajeev Gandhi College of Technology.
The accused used to live in rented room at the victim’s house around one year ago and was acquainted with the victim and her husband. He was aware of the whereabouts of the victim’s husband. Police said that the accused was produced in the court and has been sent under judicial custody.
